The Australian Wedge-Tailed Eagle (Aquila audax)
I see these eagles flying overhead around home. It never ceases to amaze and inspire me. The Indigenous peoples of Australia, in their Dreamtime, believe that when a person dies, their soul is lifted through the skies by an eagle.
I completed this artwork in November 2023 and is a member of my “Birds of Oz” series.
